Lake Mary, FL - Lake Mary GracePointe Church is proud to announce "Grace In Action Sunday 2024," an inspiring day dedicated to community service and outreach. Building on over a decade of tradition, this event, formerly known as "Faith in Action Sunday," invites members of the church and the surrounding community to actively engage in service projects and demonstrate their faith through tangible actions.
This year's "Grace In Action" event will take place on the 4th Sunday of Advent, December 22, 2024, at 10 AM. The day coincides with Gaudete Sunday, celebrating the joy and peace symbolized by the birth of Jesus. Under the leadership of Pastor Howard M. Harris Jr., the event has been rebranded to emphasize the tangible expression of grace and to align with GracePointe Church's vision of active community involvement.
Pastor Howard shares his enthusiasm: “We are excited to serve our community in innovative ways. Our teams will be reaching out through various activities—visiting laundromats, praying with neighbors, offering companionship in nursing homes, distributing cards, and spreading holiday cheer with carolers. There is a role for everyone.”
Scripture will guide and inspire activities throughout the day, as participants embrace the spirit of John 1:19, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
